During this tour, we will explore two of Valencia’s architectural treasures: the Church of San Nicolás and the Colegio del Arte Mayor de la Seda. San Nicolás, recently restored and often referred to as the Valencian “Sistine Chapel,” is adorned with nearly 2,000 m² of 17th-century frescoes. Founded in the 13th century and later renovated in the Baroque style, this church is a stunning example of Valencian artistry. Next, we will visit the Colegio del Arte Mayor de la Seda, home to the Silk Museum, a masterpiece of Valencian architecture. Located in the historic Velluters quarter, once home to silk merchants, this building offers a fascinating glimpse into the guild’s history, its European archives, and the region’s silk heritage, complemented by its exquisite frescoes and Baroque ceramics.
